Welcome

St Mary’s Church is situated in the picturesque village of Whitegate in Mid Cheshire. Our main services are at 9:30 on Sunday mornings when we have a robed choir. We also have our Little Fishes Sunday School or Story Telling service, and monthly Family Services. There are many activities for the less youthful too.

Please save all your stamps from your Christmas post for the RNIB Stamp Appeal. We will be collecting them in church until the end of January.

Movies in the Mews, Downton Abbey

Come and join us in The Mews on Sunday 1st February at 2pm for a showing of Downton Abbey, The Grand Finale (2025). Refreshments from 2pm.

Shrove Tuesday Pancakes 2026

Drop into The Mews for a freshly cooked pancake on Shrove Tuesday, 17th February, between 4pm and 7pm. There is no charge. Any donations will be given to Christian Aid.

Ash Wednesday

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. Join us at 7.30pm for a service of Holy Communion and the marking of ash crosses on the foreheads of the congregation.

Lent Series 2026
